The nitty gritty…
Looking for specific detail on what areas we consider our specialty? How about a meandering list of the things we get up to on a normal week?
Statistical Programming:
SAS, SPSS, R programing languages for use in analysis and visualization of data for research projects in fields including but not limited to agriculture, animal breeding, bio-mechanics, epidemiology, orthopedics, pharmacology, quantitative genetics, radiography and surgical methodologies. As you can imagine by the broad range of research categories we understand more than the general stats common in any given research sector but rather the appropriate methods for analysis of all types of data and experimental designs.
Data collection and reporting systems:
We were approached late last year by a client to build something more than analysis code. They wanted a full system that could be used to collect clean data, store it reliably, and produce standard reports on demand in a format that could easily be distributed to their clients with a minimal amount of fuss. We said sounds fun and now we rely heavily on the tools we settled on for more than just one of projects. We are using them in most of our reporting practices. Take a walk over to the client profiles and look at what we are doing for the Canadian Llama and Alpaca Association or Keystone Pig Advancement.
Web-design/branding and media:
Although not our primary sector or specialty we occasionally find it in our best interest to get involved in web and marketing projects. Generally only for clients that we have existing relationships with and feel the other work we do with them would benefit from our web-experiences. All the modern touches like RSS, Twitter and Facebook integration built on user friendly content management systems makes the end product user friendly and easy to maintain, but the real specialty comes in seamlessly presenting your business data to your clients in the style and structure of your branding message. Look to our client profile on the Canadian Charolais Association for an example of this type of work.
